FROM POLICY TO ACTION – WHERE LEADERS DEFINE APAC’S CARBON MARKETS
APAC CARBON MARKETS AT THE RECKONING POINT: PRICE IT, PROVE IT, LEAD IT
The rules Asia-Pacific spent years debating are now on the calendar. The first annual CBAM declarations and certificate surrenders for 2026 imports fall due on 30 September 2027. SBTi's Corporate Net-Zero Standard V2.0 opens for target validation from 1 February 2027. A single Guyana project currently supplies 68% of eligible CORSIA units, while a handful of buyers quietly decide which durable-removal projects survive.
By the time we meet, the post-COP31 market will be repricing trade, capital and growth in real time. Carbon is no longer a reporting line.
But pressure does more than raise costs — it builds markets. A new ecosystem is emerging around insurance covering sovereign-authorisation and corresponding-adjustment risk, the first blue-carbon protocol approved to issue CCP-labelled credits, new buyers and buyer coalitions seeking to diversify durable-CDR demand, and trading venues competing to establish trusted regional price signals.
CFAS2027 will convene 1000+ market participants and decision-makers across that ecosystem — governments, corporates, financiers and developers — through two dedicated forums running alongside the main summit: the APAC CORSIA Forum and the APAC CDR Forum. Core sessions will examine Article 6 authorisation, price discovery, nature-based bankability and blended finance.
Whether you are pricing export exposure, defending a procurement decision or financing a project the numbers do not yet support, the choice is the same: absorb the cost of repricing, or turn early compliance into advantage.
This is where policy signals become bankable deals — and where Asia-Pacific's next generation of carbon, capital and climate leaders is decided.

PRICE DISCOVERY, LIQUIDITY & CARBON RISK

PROCUREMENT, CLAIMS & BUYER STRATEGY

White Paper: Unlocking Article 6.2
Article 6.2 is moving from policy design to real market execution. For APAC, the opportunity is significant, but implementation remains slowed by governance gaps, authorisation complexity, fragmented MRV systems, registry readiness, and limited technical capacity. This white paper outlines a practical acceleration framework built around Intelligence, Infrastructure, and Integration to help countries unlock climate finance, scale verified mitigation outcomes, and build trusted carbon market leadership.
